Xpats Gateway system was officially launched on 15 June 2023 for the application of Expatriate Employment Pass. Therefore, all applications for support letters for the purpose of applying employment pass to the Department of Mineral and Geoscience Malaysia as the approving agency/ regulatory body for Mining, Quarrying and Mineral Processing Sector shall be made entirely online via Xpats Gateway’s portal.
Meanwhile for the application of Professional Visit Pass (PVP), applications remain to be made to the Department of Mineral and Geoscience Malaysia’s state office where the mining, quarrying or mineral processing activity is being operated. Details on the PVP can be acquired from the Expatriate Service Division, Department of Immigration Malaysia.
