44. Upgrade Network Facilities

Objective : ✓ Enhance Network Infrastructure in JMG Mineral Research
Centre in Ipoh, JMG Sabah, JMG Sarawak, JMG Pahang
Lab, JMG Kedah/Perlis/Penang and other JMG State
Offices.
Rationale : ✓ Moving to new premises,
implement new capabilities.
✓ Increase in number of staff,
increase in number of applications, increase in usage.
Expected Benefit : ✓ Increased network performance to support usage.

Resource Required : ✓ Network infrastructure components, appliances, fibre optic
or CAT6 UTP cables.

45. Enhancement of Delivery System
Objective : ✓ To join MySMS, service delivery using SMS channel.
Rationale : ✓ Toward Government 2.0
✓ Take advantage of large percentage of mobile phone
usage, infrastructure, network, development already
available, simple, fast, easy implementation and service
delivery.
Expected Benefit : ✓ Allow customers to reach JMG and vice versa quickly,
easily and effectively

Resource Required : ✓ Backend infrastructure; Data, files or database, compatible
with MySMS frontend infrastructure done by Dapat Vista
Sdn Bhd on behalf of MAMPU.

delivery with MySMS.
