4. GIS: Data Acquisition System for GIS Application
Objective : ✓ To provide basic Geological and Topographical layers for the
use of research and studies done by the Internal and
External End –Users
✓ Geological Thematic Maps
✓ To ensure the Implementation of the JMG Geospatial Data
Infrastructure according to the Standard Malaysian Feature
and Attribute Codes (MS 1759), Standard Metadata (MS ISO
19115) and
✓ To support in the development of the Executive Information
System (Dashboard) for JMG
Rationale : ✓ Managing and integrating survey-based information for
effective geospatial minerals and geoscience information
management
Expected Benefit : ✓ GIS-ready minerals and geoscience geospatial data that
complies to all standards and circulars
